The review you may have been waiting for ! Big rock moto on the 12 G/S

Really?! I haven’t looked at one in flesh yet, but thought it had high seat height. I’ll reserve judgement until I look closer. 👍
It was the standard bike , not the Enduro jobby with taller suspension/ 18” rear and £3k worth of bollox

Arsey you sat on the standard bike im 6ft 1 and the enduro pack bike i bought is tall and even taller still if you put the enduro seat on.

I had a deposit on the Honda CB1000GT but pulled out after being told I would be lucky to get it by July, I sold the Africa twin DCT after owning 3 of them as I fancied a change so when the G/S came on at Welyn Garden City which i knew we're closing down i managed to get it at £13250 so bought it.

Oh right, I wouldn’t consider that one for the reasons you mentioned. Maybe I’ll wait until there’s some kicking about the 2nd hand market. 🤔

Mind you, I just went onto the configurator and it’s only £15k with the enduro pack. I like the plain black one like @Georgeeboi has anyway 👍
Maybe some wriggle room on price too 🤔

Mine is the non enduro and at 6ft I find it just right after adding bar risers. It feels much lighter than the 1250 GSA I had and the fact I can get my feet down helps manoeuvring around, reversing etc.

The enduro pack adds a little height but makes no odds to the sitting/standing position once you add the bar risers.

90% of any trips I do will be on tarmac so the more road orientated tyres make more sense for me and I expect most others. I like it's big supermoto feel

I went and looked at the standard one yesterday and found it a lot more spacious than my R9T, and going to see the Enduro one at Dundee over the weekend.
£7k to trade is quite steep though 🤔
If I go for it, I’ll probably sell my bike privately and factory order a stripped down plain one.

……..quite disappointed to learn that my Unit Garage headers and Rapid Bike Smart module aren’t interchangeable though 🤔

The bar risers I bought from ebay for around £20 so not worth paying for theirs

Tbh, I think the Enduro one is better value. I went to John Clark’s in Dundee yesterday to sit on and look at the other differences.
Other than the bigger wheel and increased height, there are also: hand guards, much better pegs, sump guard, bar risers and beefier forks.
I’m only interested in plain black with no other options. Quoted £13,500 for base versus £14k for Enduro It would be a factory order and 8 week wait.
I think the Enduro stuff is well worth £500. 👍
