It finally happened, the inevitable I mean. 
Pushing the 650 out of the garage saturday morning I stumbled on gravel and the bike went over. Now I always felt BMW vario cases weren't great, but I always stopped short of the levels of criticism directed at them on this and other sites.
Until now.
The two brackets on the right pannier have snapped off, the locking mechanism is distorted and the fake alu cover thing has broken off. Attempts at salvage and repair have only been semi successful. But at least the bike isnt damaged! 
But to cut an already long story short I'm looking for a replacement. I'd get Jesse Odysse but theyre too expensive. So the Hepco and Becker Gobis seem the way ahead. BUT just how wide are they when fitted? From past threads it seems very. Any ideas on how much wider than the extended varios.
Is Motobins still the place to go?
