The wasser boxer another new image

If they can't keep the likes of 'The Ring antenna' , 'Fuel pump Controllers' and 'Final drive units' from failing, just imagine what horrors BMW have lined up for potential buyers of their latest creation.
I think I'll be holding onto my 2008 GSA, but thanks anyway.

Love the "floating" frame triangulation near the rear brake reservoir-which stays on the RHS even though the caliper would now appear to be on the LHS, also the black fading to grey lower frame tubes near the footrest is a neat touch :blast

This is all very well but its a photoshop image, not a photo, so the "artist" probably hasn't got much more idea what it'll look like than my cat.

If that does turn out to be anything like close to what is in the pipeline you can expect the fuel tank to be above the gearbox and a significantly lower CofG.

Air intake from airbox in false tank and a straight feed down into the heads. Perhaps they'll offer direct (to combustion chamber) fuel injection with stratified charge and the fuel economy that offers.

Having done that it may be straight forward to dieselise it as well.

I can feel it coming !

What water do you use in your bike ?

Ionised , de-ionised, passed by the management :)

Off for my tin hat

This pic just shows the problem with water cooling on a GS. Where do you stick the radiator. In that picture, the radiator is going to get destroyed pretty quick with muck and stones flicked up from the front tyre. Still at least it will hide the corrosion on the engine cover ;)

In all honesty I wouldn't go with any of these pics as they are all fake. They are all bits of real bikes put together to make something slightly different. The first pic doesnt show a radiator where my pic shows it and the (What I think is) 1150 luggage gives it away as well. The first pic shows a more likely radiator position up in the tank scoop. The airbox will have to be further forward for the new inlet position so leaves the back open for fuel and the top front for possibly radiators. Well out the way and protected. Its all just guesswork though as only BMW knows.
