Your correct in that assumption - Looking in the 1200 forum it appears that 1200 models seem to have a penchant for the whole bike igniting and going up in flames. :augie

Just gets worse !

Maybe I'm Doin it wrong :D:D:D

Why the fcuk does the loom HAVE to go in an out of the frame! Bastards!

i kinda forgot to remove that 9v battery from the alarm but i had other priorities when i got home- :augie

though i have to say it keeps people on their toes when it does go off :)

Eventually I got it finished

A big tip for Anyone doing this loom fitting business! Get a really really good condition one!

I thought that it'd be okay but after removing a datatool alarm using the oiginal rear lighting section (cos the new one was chopped there) repairing 4 broken wires up at the connectors, a new starter lug, and replacing the fuel pump connector plus wires and retaping about 75% of the loom I finally got it powered up and teh abs wouldn't inialise I had noticed tape on the front sensor wire near teh connector and when I stripped it back it was just green dust!:blast:blast:blast

Not to be deterred I took the old loom in and unwound the connector from the front sensor connection at the ABS connector and retrofiited it on the bike no solder just the complete wire from connector to connector

SO end result the ABS still doesn't fire up! Everything else works :blast:blast:blast

Newer Loom Please !
