Well got a 1150GS Tuesday night, went in the garage last night and ran it up and gave it a looking over and it was pissing fuel from the pipe clamp below the quick release shut it off and went to my pit.
Bought a load of clamps today, get in the garage, fire it up and no leak :eek.
Shut it off and ran it up a few times and rattled about the pipes still no leak
Any ideas, bike has been stood for a good few months and only done 14k, i will be taking it on its first outing in the morning and could do without a leak.

BD,
Are you sure it was a hose end that was leaking and not the coupling?
i think you should change the o-rings on the couplings to make sure - it is a show-stopper if they leak. Get the right o-rings from dealer, the type or material was changed in a recall campaign.
Also, pull the hoses with clamps away from the coupling ends so the clamped hose tightens back against the bulge on the clamp barb.

Overflow ? Fuel expansion ?
Had you just filled the tank ?
Always start with the easy ones :nenau

If its the crimped clamp then replace it with some proper hose clips, they normally leak at the joint with the rigid pipe, and usually while its cold until the engine warms things up. As someone else said, get some new o-rings as they can also leak if damaged. The male part of the quick release has now been changed to metal as the plastic ones can go brittle.

Thanks guys, off to clarks in the morning for bits. I can't give up on bikes as i have already long ago given up on cars having owned over 300
What can break will but what can break can be fixed (hopefully)
I do sometimes think why me though :eek

This is/was a common problem and BMW did a recall to tighten the hose clamps.

it's not the "O" rings on the Q/D's, if they leak they don't stop until replaced.

Just replace the BMW hose clips with some "normal" hose clamps that you can tighten with a screw driver.

thanks, at least i will some use out of the 12 various fuel clamps i bought yesterday :D
Going to Clarks anyway to get head gaskets for the 1100 as i must stop being distracted and get on with it :blast will get some "spare" o rings just incase cos thats just the type of bloke i am :D
