Can anyone recommend a small digital type thermometer? I had one on the VFR800, missed it when i moved onto the Mille, and somehow expected the GS to have one  centigrade preferred!

It's Maplin's product code: GW57M.

I have one under the dash on my 1150 with the external sensor glued under the front of the beak (I've also shortened the sensor wire but cutting, soldering and shrink-wrapping).

As others have said, they stop working when you wash the bike (but I've never had a problem when riding in the heaviest rain), but they do come back when they have dried out a bit.

At under £8, it's a handy item.

That would be this then, the rain hasn't bothered it ......yet

How much?, and how do we contact him please.

whatton63, how'd you mount that under the console? I have a Halford's clock/thermometer, but no bracket. Also, does the yoke foul the thermometer at all on full lock?

I have mine in the same position using the velcro patches that come with the Maplins unit.

whatton63 appears to be using some plastic-coated pipe clips.

Its mounted using two of these spring clips (black plastic coated though) attached using the shortest self tappers I could find. And no, it's not in the way of the steering lock. I was getting odd temp readings due to heat rising from the engine, so I've moved the sensor under the beak.
