Aren't they?

Been down near spalding today, had to go on a service call so i took the dak :D

On the way back home i'm doing about 70 down a straight road when a pheasant decides to fly out in front of me, i can't avoid the little bastid and i nail it square in the headlight, killing the bird instantly and covering me with feathers. Stop the bike expecting the worse, (broken headlight or worse) inspected the front end, only visible damage i can see is that the headlight has been pushed inwards by about 15mm. Great, that ain't going to be cheap

Get's back on and do the 75 mile trip home. Strip the front down (bastid in itself) and inspect the damage, seems like the three mounts/ beam adjusters have just been pushed out, pops them back in and bolts it all back together.

I hit a pheasant at 70mph and no damage to the bike at all :D

Unlike the last one, bloody thing popped a mirror

You lucky lucky bastid, my ex missus hit one in our vauxhall astra a few years ago and I had to make a claim off the insurance, it smashed through the front valance and then took off the sump guard.

That was lucky.
I did a similar thing a couple of years ago and the phesant broke one of the headlamp mountings. I stuck it back together with araldite and so far it has worked fine.
A couple of weeks ago I was following a sports bike down a twisty road when the riders shoulder went back and his speed dropped. As I passed the spot there was a phesant quivering on the side. I bet that hurt!

Ah yes. Those damn peasants again. Big bull bars the only thing for them. They shouldn't be allowed out off the land really, best to keep them busy in the fields. :D
