Noticed that the gap between the seat and the rear carrier seemed a little bigger than usual... Whip of the seat to discover on the right hand side:

So a new rear carrier for me and less tools in the future!

One thing I hadn't previously considered is this carrier is also used to hold the rear end of the saddle! As long as I ride standing up, I'll be fine ;-)

I always knew they were suspect and pretty much avoided overloading it. But I think I got carried away with tools, most of which I didn't need!
 
They all do that Sir:D Cable ties and gaffer tape for a year or 2 :thumb2

:D

I also hadn't considered the role the seat is taking in holding it all together :D
