is it the usual supermoto riding position/no screen induced bar wobble (which I'm used too) or is it something else.

On my various SM's I've always encountered a high speed wibble that feels and looks dramatic but seems to be part of high speed SM aerodynamics.

Just wondering as I'm being tempted off the GSA.....

It's the same. Just loosen your grip and it settles right down.

sorry, thats crap!
try loosening your grip at 120 when the bike decides to swerve violently lol.good luck!

the only time mine went really bad was when I was on knobblies at full beans and the whole shook like it wanted rid of me.

have learnt to be more respectful as the HP can be very unforgiving when you stuff it up....

Ok then .... a good , bad and a maybe. Thanks for comments!

you can't use my comment to form an opinion knobblies contact patches are front about 3 at any one time the sixze of 10 pence pieces smaller if your on agressive tyres the back 3-4 match box sized bits of rubber. at over the magic 100 it's gonna bounce about.

On the SM rims with conti attacks mine seemed fine but it's a naked bike and windshere other road users will all make a difference.

best thing don't crank it up till your happy with what it and you'll do in odd situations.

HP is a beast and it'll bite you in the R's if you let it.

never had a problem with mine, most fun on a bike I have ever had!!! It shanks it head a bit is you give it very big handfuls on a bumpy rode but that half the fun. Took it to Cadwell Park and it was great, upset a few R1, Blades and RC8's....

It is true that a bike will sort itself out at speed (yes 120 plus as well) if you leave the bars alone. Its is alway the riders input to the bars that causes more problems than it solves (unless you are Rossie or the like...). We have all seen the footage of someone on a bike having a massive tank slapper and getting thrown off, the bike then travels on in a perfect straight line as it has got ride of the problem...... the rider!!!! cant be arsed to go into the physics..... their is a great set of course run by a company up my way that deals with all this...

Anyway buy a hp2e its just fun fun fun.........

Agreed^^^^
Dont get my comment wrong, its the most fun ive ever had on a bike!
My steering damper has made the bike even better and no "wobble" at all now...
I love it...:aidan

Ok thanks again , sounds like its the usual SM deathweave if you hang on. Much appreciated , now to find a bike!

head shake...wobbles....

I've had head shake on rough roads when the stock suspension was overwhelmed. Updating the suspension spring rate and damping abilitities to my weight and riding style fixed that.

I occasionally get a bit of head shake, but only during very aggressive riding on rutted or potholed roads.

as for wobbles... mine are caused by the stock front rim being a bit out of round. I use a second set of enduro wheels most of the time, so not a big deal.

I experience the same thing on the freeway. I have knobbies on. No street tires yet (need to save up for them). Slight wobble happens when I shift up to a higher gear at speed. I think its the knobbies. Coming from a superbike, I tend to ring the engine till redline. I realized that the HP2 is a different beast altogether and does not need to be redlined. Eitherway, I will feel better with either street tires on or a steering damper. I now keep speeds under 140km/hr until I get either street tires or steering damper.

Really? Tighten your grip and see what happens.

My impression of his question was SM related making me think he was referring to a Megamoto of which I've settled down several times when over 100 MPH by loosening my grip.

Were talking about flat out acceleration here, what causes the swerve.
How can you loosen your grip on a fully open throttle and while keeping at least 1 finger on or near the front brake lever?

Man, you can ride;)

With the SM rims never have it because the front is lower. With the enduro i fount out it's the riding position or the back end too low (when the air suspension is set too soft).Riding position i mean when you sit and lean backwards pulling the bar when accelerating hard like going for a wheelie. If i sit and lean over to front and i'm not pulling the bars i never get it.So,it's me not the bike.:bow
And that isn't a factor to decide between the ADV and HP2E anyways. One is a wild E or SM,the other is a long distance ADV.
