Great vid, from a rider's eye view of what it's like to ride in a Trial

Some fabulous scenery around the moors of Strathcarron

Great looking sections

Three of us were responsible for setting up that event. 76 entries and a huge raffle with donated prizes resulted in £1700+ being donated to Strathcarron hospice! It was a good trial and whilst the video clip accurately shows the sections it does tend to "flatten" the perspective - the hill climb and the waterfall in particular are steeper in "real" life. We're running a 2-day event later this year (Sept 1 + 2)at the same place but with much longer laps. Folks came from Yorkshire and Cumbria last year and said it was so good that they'd be back. Check the Lanarkshire Motorcycle Club (LMCC) website for details nearer the time.

Nice.....

Are these kind of trials specifcaly for none road type trials bikes or do people do it on road based enduro bikes?

You wouldn't be able to do that type of Trial on anything but a trials bike(which incidently doesn't come equipped with a 'seat'' cushion, just a banana shaped mudguard) because the sections are too tight and too demanding, no other bike would even get past the start cards of a section

However you can enter LDT (Long Distance Trials) on a trail bike, as the sections are less severe and not as tight...............however an Enduro bike may still struggle, unless you're Graham Jarvis because of lack of steering lock

Trials bike, like the one featured in the vid, can be used on the road provided it's registered and insured and the rider has the correct licence
