This latest software update...

....has completely removed that horrible flat spot at 5000rpm. I hooned in this morning and it just wasn't there. So Mr Remus won't be getting any of my business and Mr Akrapovic can just go hungry.

So £400 well spent getting it. And they threw in a free 12000 mile and an annual service to boot! And they changed the brake lines that the recall mentioned.

Now Mr VISA has had so much business from me he's pleading not to have any more. Demanding, actually

I even got to sit in a Mini while it was all being done, so a mini adventure all around!

errrr which model and year are these updates for?? What recall is it for the brake lines? A safety or advisory? What dates is the software and recall? I've not had anything through for a 08 12GSA yet?

Picked up my 57 GS today and the salesman said it had the latest software update done yesterday, I just nodded as didn't appreciate its significance at the time !!

Bike goes well tho but haven't revved over 5k ish at moment.

The Brake line recall came in a letter but has been mentioned here in a long thread here:-

The service person knew nothing other than a software update had been done - I'm guessing it's the ECU one, but who knows with software. It was last serviced 6 months ago, so *this* software update has been released since then.
