This route does not match the available maps. Why am I getting this error?

I have 2008 loaded. I have made some routes on mapsource but when I pick the route after its being transfered to the Quest1 it shows the above error.

The maps that cover the route in question have been transfered with the routes etc from the PC.

I don't recall this error before moving from V9 to 2008?

I`ve got the same problem. Just plotted routes for a trip to France. in the process I have had to remove some of the Uk mapping due to the memory size. Not sure if it wants to start the route from the last registered location on the unit, in my case it being Manchester ( an map area for which I have removed ). I`m hoping the routes will kick in ok when I get to France..you managed to solve it yet?

odd, that error usually means you are using different versions of mapsource on pc and gps, or you have necessary map tiles missing on the gps.

if you're using a newer garmin, it will route from current location. the older models (2610) don't.

This may be the problem.
I suspect that the GPS is loaded with a different edition of mapping to the computer.
That is you have updated the mapping on the computer but the GPS is still loaded with the old version.

Nope, it says the same on the unit Ie, 2008.

Please see / post to the link as I believe it to be a mapsource issue rather than a quest one now.
