What's the guesstimate for a full engine rebuild?

Pull the balance shaft from a GS motor and you have a HP2 motor. Shouldn't make the bike worth less because the motor was replaced unless it is to be sold as a stock low milage mint bike.

That was Moly's bike, actually based on a megamoto - he did my old bike forks and for Mav

I get its an old post - but I was intrigued about the comments on using a GS engine - I looked year back as of Aug 2006

The Throttle bodies are different
The Fuel injectors are the same
The Engine ECU is the same - but has its own map

And looking today - either the parts listing is totally wrong or

The cyl barrels are the same
The Pistons are the same
The cyl heads are the same
The Inlet valves are the same
The Exhaust valves are the same
The megamoto Camshafts are the same
The megamoto Conrods are the same

The mega Moto had the GS engine, but the E had a lighter (balancerless plus other differences) engine
