Has anybody used the Halvarssons Safety Trousers?
I am looking at a pair and would appreciate any thoughts on them.
Are they a real all year rounder using the different outers?
Cheers

I've had a pair since early this year. You won't get a more protective pair of trousers. I think however you have to determine what you are after.
If it rains in the hot weather the ventilated overtrouser isn't waterproof, I suppose it can't be with holes.
They are meant for day long riding.
The Met Police luckily gave me two pairs and I think the fit, finish and manufacture are first class. However,if I had been given a chit, I would have probably gone for Rukka, and then paid for a matching jacket myself. This is something I haven't been tempted to do with the Halvarssons, despite the option of a really good price from the suppliers.

The advertising says that the outers can easily be swapped over and pack up really small so you can carry the other outer with you. In the real world, how practical and easily done is this?

Probably the same as unlined overtrousers, but if you have the bib/brace part zipped in, you'll have to take the jacket off. I am back at work next week at Euston, if thats any good to meet and you can see them

I will be at home until 1000hrs on Tuesday morning and I'm going to try and cycle to work, so I should be there from 1300hrs.
