So just setting up my Scala Q2 stuff.

So there is me , the misses (pillion) and the mate .

I regularly go for rides with either but usually not both.

If i give my pillion the other Q2 headset we can chat away, likewise my mate. However if we buy another Scala headset, we will have to do the old push button to talk to whoever is wearing it.

My question is this. If i fit a standard Scala headset to a helmet, can I change the actual device (leaving speakers / mic wiring etc) inplace and clip on the Q2 unit when required? Are the fittings the same?

Any help apprecriated as ever.

Yes, and yes.
Denise and I have both road and off-road helmets, so got a couple of headsets off ebay and we can swap the actual clip on bit between any combination. Make sure you get the right mic type though (boom or wire)
