Has anyone fitted their autocom with after market throat mike and/or earbuds instead of the standard issue mini-speakers and helmet mike?

I don't want to install any gubbins in the lid - I'd much rather wear the electronics any have never been sucessful in getting mini-speakers to work well for me....

Cheers

throat mikes can be uncomfortable over long periods in my experiance not sure if autocom do them contact g.s.rich of this parish he is the font of things autocom

I've some experience with throat mics, although a great idea, on a bike I had nothing but dramas, great when they don't move but think about how many times you do a life saver/shoulder check, now imagine having to reposition the mic everytime afterwards :(

Just as an update really we do not recommend throat mics, our standard mics have been designed to work along side our main control units so if a thrid part mic was to be used we can not guaranty on how well it work or even sound.
