Throttle Body Balancing - Help Needed

I've just bought a carbtune, and want to balance my throttle bodies, but I think I read somewhere that it can't be done on a 1200 without a GS911. Is this true ?? And if so, what do you have to do with the GS911 to be able to balance the throttle bodies ??

Yep you can do a throttle body balance no problem.

I do it with a twin max.

Oh yeah, missed that one, but it's been a long day (but enjoyable one) in the garage

You can balance your throttles without a 911 at around 2000-3000 rpm what you need the 911 for is to balance the idle syncro motors.

IIRC, the dealer computer thingy is used to park the stepper motors so that their self-adjusting does not interfere with fine adjustment of the butterfly sync. I am sure this is better if you have the kit to do it, but I have done mine with twinmax and it seemed to work very well = v. smooth at all revs.
Can't see how a 911 thingy will work for this, it is only a fault code reader as far as I know. No need for it for this job in any case.

It is definitely not ' only a fault code reader'.

It will park your stepper motors so you can do a throttle body sync as well as sync the stepper motors themselves.

Not to mention resetting service indicators and service schedules.

You can check the correct operation of every switch and sensor.

You can change the sevice intervals?

I would like to change mine from comming on every 6,000 miles to 12,000 miles. I may have to look into it a little more.
