going over to france soon thought about grtting a throttle rocker, does any one use one are they any good , they seem a good idea, and there pretty chaep, let me know yours (waiting by the computer cos i got no friends) dave...

yes, they help stop the tingles, little uncomfortable at 1st, and crap round town ,but good on the long roads

Most people hate 'em....I do 1,000 mls a month and swear by them.
Just helps reduce grip pressure on long runs.

Mine lasted less than a day before being consigned to a ditch. Bought a Kaoko throttle control thing direct from SA, a great bit of kit!

brilliant/essential on my old guzzis.

can't see the point on a bike with light throttle butterflies.

ps. the new ones with the velcro strap are rubbish anyway. can't adjust as required when moving.

got on my tits ;)
but i could understand one on long runs or bikes with a stiff throttle as cookie says guzzi's etc etc.:thumb2

Super piece of kit. Originally had the narrow one from Scottoiler and used it all over Europe. It does take a day or two to get used to but after that it makes driving much more relaxing. I also found that on hot sweaty days I could rest my hand on top of the hand guards and still control the throttle.

Eventually my wife nicked it as she suffers from arthritus and I bought the wider one. Seemed a good idea but not so comfortable but a while ago I saw a wide one with a sideways curve to match the palm shape. It was only fiver and is very comfortable. Marketed by Motrax but the only picture I can find is here.

Mine is on the bike all the time, whether touring or commuting and it feels really strange to ride without it.

Some sites are advertising 'Throttle Rockers' as 'Cruise Control' devices, whatever they are they are definitely NOT Cruise Controllers.

But if you suffer from any discomfort holding or twisting the throttle or just want to rest your hand during a run then a Throttle Rocker might be the answer, I've been using one for 6 or 7 years now and wouldn't be without it:thumb2

Once you have learnt to push and not twist they are much easier. Make control much lighter. I use the Scottoiler version, worth the cash.

A word of warning, take care when putting it on or taking it off the grip (on a 1200) because if you are hamfisted and nick the grip rubber, you heater elements go south.
DAMHIK
I only used one for motorway runs, otherwise got on my wick. Gave it to a mate who has wrist problems.

Likewise. :thumb2 And unlike the cheap (nasty) versions, the Kaoko is easy to use with your little pinkie.
