I'm sure that there are numerous softyware applications that can tidy up digital photographs; remove red eye, excessive "noise" , cropping, etc. I only want a cheap and cheerful utility package that's doesn't take an age to swot up on and is almost wizard driven. I'm not looking to publish just make my family photos a little more presentable.

So all you photo guys out there, what are you using and what do you recommend for an amateur digital photographer :nenau

http://picasa.google.com/

it's free... free i say

and has best and easiest colour adjustments of all the free ones i've tried...
the only thing is you have to learn to "save a copy" after the alterations are done.... and it saves it to the same folder as the original pic... i haven't found a way i can save to a folder of my choice yet... but it's not a big tickle

i forgot to say after the set up it's simple to use

i still use http://www.irfanview.com/ for all my quick crops and re-sizes

which is free too :D

I may may be an idjut for paying for software but it's something that I have always done and will continue to do - that's just the way it is. Let's run a poll and see what that question turns up. No idea on how to do one so I'll leave that up to someone else.
