Well they say that bad things always come in three's.
Felt a niggling vibration and a certain " not quite right " sensation for the past couple of weeks and took the bike in for a check over, prior to its proposed 5 week euro tour starting in a couple of weeks.
Long story short.
Bevel Bearing is in need of replacement, the output seal on the gearbox is leaking and to top the icing on the cake....the propshaft is totally corroded/buggered.
£450 for a new BMW propshaft is the going rate...... is there an alternative that is either more affordable or substantionally better than the stock prop that I can look at attaining for the repair?....or is it worth going down the second hand route ?
