Currently using a bmw rp2 jacket, hein gericke gortex trousers and a tour x helmet.

Thouroughly impressed with the hein gericke trousers, had them for around 4 years and they've never leaked. Recently buggered up the fly zip, it's been replaced but perhaps it's time for some new trousers.

The r2p has been ok, brilliant in hot weather but lacking in the cold weather requires layering up but it's still cold. The gortex liner has failed as did the main zip and the velcro on the cuffs. I'm not as impressed with it as the trousers, did protect me in an off tho so it can't be that bad.

Got around £1000 for a new helmet, jacket and trousers. Can anyone reccomend decent kit for that price, i'm leaning towards hein gericke on the basis of how the current pair of trousers have performed, is the new stuff just as good?

If the Gore-Tex liner for your Rallye 2 Pro has genuinely failed then WL Gore should replace it under the Gore-Tex lifetime guarantee.

I've worn Revitt kit for a number of years and found it great, although it suffers a bit after a wash. I've recently got spada macna jacket and trouser. Much warmer and got a lot more protection than the revitt, but a bit more fiddly to change the layers. Would recommend it though.

Didn't know that, i get wet arms after about ten minutes riding, the silver coating on the tops of the arms has worn away :nenau

Halvarssons/Lindstrands stuff is really good. I get most of mine online from Grand Prix Legends, but 5-ways Motorcycles at Hull have some stuff in stock - not too far from you.
