Tinting screen !

Hi all,
Anybody had any experience of having their screen tinted?
I get a lot of glare on the sat nav screen, rarther than messing around with shades etc on the unit thought of getting the screen darkened.
Tried our local hot rod superstore, but he wasnt confident about getting the film to stick to the contours of the screen?

I don`t have firsthand experience,but as well as tinted film,you can get a tinting spray for rear lamps and indicator lenses.
I would have thought a hotrod shop would have had that in stock but a 'Motor World' type place might,or 'Halfrauds'.

Probably not your cut of tea but I’ve seen a GS with the entire screen sprayed a solid colour – would certainly take the glare off your GPS! Planning on doing mine matt black soon

Unless you are going spray the outside of your screen matt black not just the inside matt black it's going to appear gloss black from the front

I have used the tint spray..Ok for lens but that’s about it too hard to get an even coat.

There was guys who could tint your clear visor for you by sticking it in a tinting solution a bit like the way you can get glasses tinted, I haven't seen ads for it for a while but someone might know where still does it

Thanks all, think the best way is to try it on a used screen?.
Tried the for sale section but no luck, any one know of a cheap second hand one?
