Here's a tip for those of you who might be interested... on the 14th of July some 50 tall sail ships will be leaving Rouen to the sea via the Seine river.
There should be some 7 million people along both sides of the river, with a carnival atmosphere....
The armada is held every 5 years, and the best way to get there is on your motorbike, since there are so many people. cars are blocked, bikes can scout for the best areas.
It's worth the effort!!
