Just swapped form Tourance to TKC80s for an impending trip - no wonder you guys switching form TKCs to road tyres are amazed!

The handling is distinctly, well, different. Feels much harder to initiate a turn and quite twitchy at any speed above 20 m.p.h.

I am currently running them at 32F/36R; what pressures are others running them on the rood at, and what about for off-road use?

They can be run up to 4 bar or approx. 58 psi on the road. This saves the tyre as it does not warm up too much.

I run mine at 20psi front and rear for OFF-Road

36Front/42Rear for road riding and they are damn near perfect.

Re: Your comment about TKC's to road tyres, the soloution is to have two sets of wheels. Spoked with TKC's and Alloys with 020's or Pilot Roads. Perfik!

2.9 bar rear and 2.5 bar front - same as Tourances. A little more if 2 up.

like Schianinni said ... the first time u use them you think "oh jeez, this doesnt feel right" ... but 100-200 miles later they are totally normal on the road and suprisingly grippy when you lean the bike over.

Thanks everyone, so 2.5F/2.9R it is then.

Even after 50 miles they did feel better, wil be back on the 110 mile round-trip commute tomorrow, that should scrub them in nicely before hitting the white lines of the Blackwall Tunnel Southern approach.

Unless it is hot , in which case I pump them up to 4 bar ... :augie
