hi there,

i ve upgraded my 1200gs computer last week as the the manifactures requested through dearler.

in my bike i have BMW NAV II and also autocom system, sine the update lastweek i am facing problem of the GPS cutsoff and turns off and also at the same time the autocomes do the same.

guys please advise me if any body has faced the same problem.

cheers

Yes I had this problem with the aux socket switching off.

My dealer rewired the GPS and Autocom into the front parking light and since then no problems.

It is a software bug on the bike in my case.

To put a photo in the thread and the 'logo' (we call them Avatars) you need to upgrade your membership and pay the annual fee. You don't have to do this to continue posting here, but it does come with benefits. Full info here

I hope that helps :thumb

It's nothing to do with the battery, it is a "glitch" in the software from what I've read which causes the can bus system to switch off the auxilary sockets intermitantly (scuse spelling).

I'm guessing your Autocom is wired through one of the auxilary socket feeds, therefore you lose it when the error ocurs.

Has happened to me once but fortunately that was it. Some have had it happening regularly, and the system resets when you turn the bike off.

Apparently there is an updated version of the software coming which will solve this issue. Well so I've read anyway.

Hope this helps. :thumb
