To Use The Tyre

After fitting my new Michelin Desert (first time I've tried one great off road tyre on an 1200 IMO)

After my job was cancelled on saturday I decided to give it a try!

The Usual Suspects came along for the ride

Gar :1150 GS (yellow)
Rob :1150 GSA (stripped for action)
Ian :950 KTM (new spark plug )
Garry :Modified Air head (purpose full)
Me :1200GSA (new tyre )

The route, Wales for a change

As you'll see we had a police escort most of the day!

Some might see this as a good pic of Garry

Will the clouds clear ?

We must be getting old or is it the bigger bikes so we stopped for a breather

This is what I call getting close to the bank Rob

Theres a story to this pic as Gar had lost his top box on the first lane of the day and it wasn't until Garry was after some WD40 and thought there'd be some in Gar's top box did we miss it 2 hours later so we returned, found it and straped it on

Unfortunately Ian & Rob had to return home as time was going on, so there was three The sun had come out what a lovely evening so we carried on

As the next lane can be alittle wet Gar fitted his Snorkel

But they are away and out

Good test of the tyre I think! Great days riding (long day 14 hours) Great company thanks all thank's to Gar for helping me pick my bike up before Garry had chance to get a photo

shame that I missed the Florida but there you go, proper off roading on the big bikes, great fun

shall have to do it again

went out on the Sunday on the 600, similar levels of fun but travelling at 3 times the speed

I'm not sure which is better for your health

I was too lazy to take any photos

But can I request a slightly drier day (if such a thing exists in Wales) when you show me and the mighty XTZ850 the way round

Was the Desert a) easy to get hold of and b) easy to fit

The day started off a bit wet but it didn't dampen our enthusisam

As soon as the sun came out we were down to 3

So we carried on to the splashes

Down the river or through the bog

A proper river crossing...Done in style too

The perfect tyre for wet rocks

But when it finds grip he's away

Gar directed Louis and me through this crossing and we both made a pigs ear of it
Then he cleaned it himself

Sundays Run

Rob and i changed bikes and went for another blast on sunday

We still couldn't keep out of the water mind you

The weather was a load better than saturday...so the bikers were out in force

Great place for lunch

Are you going to help or put a ticket on it

Line choice

It was a far more frantic day than saturday
Both were great fun
