Fitted some Tobinators and a vibration eliminator today and was a bit miffed by the two black sleeves on the shaft of the vibration eliminator - I just couldn't see where they would fit. Their internal diameter was too small to let the machined end parts that screw onto the threaded bar, sit 'home', so I ended up not using them. Where should I be using them?
Additionally, the two rubber washers that I got in the kit just got compressed way too easily when tightening everything together and were squeezed out from between the BMW 'frame' and the vib eliminator ends. Ended up using two nylon washers behind the rubber washer to help maintain their shape.
I can't belive that I got so confused about the whole thing - I was probally thinking too much about what I was doing...
Any thoughts (apart from the fact I can't describe things too well)?
