Anyone fitted them ? just interested in the feedback
I fitted my Givi Airflow today....and although I will give it a good go (no turbulence) I personally hate the look....
but hey I'm not getting into any debate about who love its and who doesn't...
I just find the standard screen buffets at high speeds and want to eliminate that... and it seems the Tobinator route might work ?

But will listen to ideas .......

You need to try a few. Some like one, some another. Me, MRA Vario.

Lots of threads here about screens but nothing beats trying them

I have just been considering some Tobinators too ...and see I just missed some a couple of days ago on here!

How tall are you? I'm 6ft and have a standard 1150GS with a standard screen which is fine up to 60/70mph, but after that (on the Autobahn of course), I noticed a big increase in turbulence and wind noise to the point it's uncomfortable, even with decent ear plugs. Using the standard 3 position adjustment didn't seem to make a huge difference, but maybe I'll test further.

I like the idea that Tobinators are pretty discrete, but appear to offer a lot of adjustment and allow me to keep my lightly tinted standard screen.

A mate has one of those little (8.5cm x 20cm) universal clip-on screen extenders that I'll try. I don't expect much from it, but I'll let you know if it works well.

BTW, if anyone has a set of Tobinators* they'd like to sell/hire/loan... I'm yer man! :rob

*to fit an 1150!

I used Tobinators on my GSA screen and the taller Wunderlich equivalent. They made no difference to the turbulence that I could detect.

I had them on the Givi Airflow but that seems to be better in a more vertical position so I sold the Tobinators. I now use Wunderlich Vario mounts that give about 20mm of front height adjustment.

Tall users might find the Tobs are handy on a Givi 330 screen, but they will also need a way to raise the back mounts so the whole screen is raised rather than just tilted backwards.

Thought I needed many options to get a screen to suit own circumstances so I fitted Givi Airflow with tobinators. Tobinators enabled me to tilt screen back to reduce screen to helmet distance. Surprise (1) never had to move screen since the day I fitted it; tho in part it may be because tobinators split airflow by creating gap above headlight (2) just occasionally on some trips ambient wind appears break the quiet turbulent free pocket behind the Givi. If I could work out how to upload a piccy of my set-up I would!

Tobinators alone did nothing for me.It took me about a year or maybe more to get mine right for me:blast
Givi 330 with tobs and winglets transformed the bike.Your right it's a little ugly but the comfort far outweighs the look for me.After all, the GS is hardly the most beautiful bike to look at :nenau

I did the same and was happy. But when I tried it with Tobs on minimum and rear mount on high, the screen was even better. Saying that tilting it back with the slider set low is better at very high speeds. But What works ua high speeds is more noisy at lower speeds. Turbulence is much the same.

The airflow around my head is quite smooth on empty roads but turbulence from other vehicles makes a high frequency rumble when you'd expect a slower thump thump.

I tried Tobinators with a standard screen. I'm 5'10. They made no difference that I could detect so I took them off. Fitting them involved some forcing of screen and bracketry that I thought might cause problems over time as well.
