Tobers,

I may be asking the wolf about how the sheep are, but will the Tobinator offer improvements on the already-competent MRA screen ? I find the MRA pretty good (it was my stopgap while going for a new Cee Baileys but seems pretty OK) but I'd still like to cut down a tad more turbulence.

Cheers

Alex,

I 've got Tobinators fitted with my Vario screen. I'm still trying various angles/heights etc, but have to say that I've not noticed an enormous difference so far. That said, the improvement when I originally fitted the Vario was significant so, overall, the bike has improved. I'm 6'6" with a 35" inseam, BTW.....

Other screens

Hi Alex,

I cant really comment myself on other "variant" screens as I've only got the standard screen on myself. I know a number of people have fitted with MRA, Wunderlich etc screens with suitably impressive results. In the USA a number of people have fitted Tobinators on Cee-Bailey screens and noticed a significant improvement as well. See this thread on the Adventure Rider site: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22349&perpage=15&pagenumber=1

Cant comment on Mike O's particular experience without having a look-see at his setup. Maybe at Princeton??

The settings do tend to be quite sensitive, but the best position is generally more leant back and tilted than the standard adjustment will allow.

Cheers

Thanks chaps ......

Judge ... you pay the airfare, I'll collect the CB in person !! I'll donate my MRA for free ! But will it fit your bike ?

Mike O ...... cheers for the info Mike. I'm a mere "dwarfly" 5' 10" but still got "windpunched" by the original screen - agree the MRA is an unexpectedly good improvement for £100. Still interested in any Tobinator enhancements though.

Tobers ... cheers for the info. I agree about the "laid back" aspect. Would appreciate any other info that comes your way regarding the Tobinator with the MRA.

Try one before you buy one

Alex - if you want to wander up to Guildford, I'll fit one for you and you can try it out. No win, no fee, so to speak.

Cheers. I may well take up your kind offer although probably not for a few weeks hence (due to every weekend being fully booked out for me in advance by my nearest and dearest).

Thank you.

Alex B.
