Tom Tom Rider 1 power sorted

I have had enough of the TT rider mount so i have-

Disconnected the power from the mount.

Drilled a hole through the hinged flap on my TT Rider directly inline with the socket.

Plugged my car power lead in to the TT Rider

Plugged the other end into a fag lighter converter plug on the bike in a Touratech handlebar bag

I dont think i will get any problems with water as its tucked behind the screen and the plug to rider socket is a very snug fit.

Works for me.

I've got an underused TTR1 in my drawer that I've parked up because of the cradle power issues.

Think I'll give it the same treatment as you have to get a bit more use out of it.

RIDER 1 ALTERNATIVE POWER

I DID THE SAME WORKED A TREAT

Just been all over Europe and its still working! It has been rained on many times and does not seem to of had any adverse effect in it.
I am well pleased.

www.buybits.com was a source (other than ebay) for 'new' replacement Rider 1 cradles.
