I need a device which is postcode friendly as I get called out during the night and the last thing I need is to fiddle about with street names at 3 am. Most of my work is in and around the M25. I would also appreciate a device that gives a fairly accurate ETA. I have an old Street Pilot 3 on a Touratech mount which has served me well but it is a pain when in a hurry. Any advice on outlets would be appreciated. Nearly forgot, I need a device which can give accurate speed camera warnings as a gatso nabbed me on an empty straight road at 4 am. Might go for a seperate speed camera/traffic update warning system, hmmm.

Yor views and advice are really welcome but please don't give me a " don't drive so fast" lecture.

How about a "you have posted in the wrong section lecture"?:D

You'll get a better response in the gps forum unless you are trying to buy it here?:thumb2

Don't get on this site much -did a search for Tom Tom but no results . Plenty to read through on here though.:thumb

The rider is pretty good, once you have had your trail traffic speed camera's for 3 mth's, you pay £15 for the year, via internet. If you know the post code and house number it takes you to the door, will show all camera's and speed you should be at for the road.
It will show your speed, distance to each junction and voice via ear piece and bluetooth to your mobile phone so can recieve and send phone call's and read tex messages on the move :clap .

I have the rider 2 and cant fault it...nice bit of kit which I prefer over the Garmins..However the ZUMO is a competitor for the tomtom for sure.

Just been to Halfords to get one, they say they have stopped selling Tom Tom Rider 2 because of water leakage and " other" problems. :rob

Went down to another London branch of Halfords on Saturday (just back from hols) and they said they never even stocked TTR2. They had so much problems with the first version - cradle being the obvious.

Seems like TTR2 might have cracked it this time.
