Have the chance of a sh TT rider but maps need updating. What options are there?

My unhelpful option would be to get a Garmin instead Peter, sorry but TomTom don't cut it for me,

Hmmm ... Don't disagree but the bike I just bought has a Tom Tom mount ready wired.

TomTom

Nothing wrong with them, go on tomton on line plug it in upgrade.
I have been lost with garmin and tomtoms. Your never lost with a
map.
:clap

+1 for Tom Tom, perfectly happy with my V5 model and using TYRE as a route planner. :thumb2

Seems there is a lot of weeping and wailing about Garmin the Basecamp every other week.....

I use a Mac so have been using BaseCamp since it was launched, not the easiest program to use at first but the more you use it the easier it becomes.

I have a TomTom rider - excellent piece of kit. Just plug in and download the TomTom application and it will do the maps for you. There are a new series called IQ with more intelligent routing and more accurate arrival estimates.. Better than the garmin any day! At least you can read it in sunlight and without have to have your glasses on! :-)

+1 for TomTom Rider. I've had two Garmins a 2610 followed by Zumo 550. I got so fed up with the faults and problems with the 550 that I bought a Rider and I definitely wouldn't go back to Garmin now. Over the years I've seen many postings on a host of forums on the TomTom v Garmin issue. The consesus (if there is one) is that Garmin is better in North America and TomTom better in Europe.
