tom tom rider v1 fault advice

hi tomtom riders any ideas on this fault?

I have a v1 rider with uk sd card,had it a few years.
problem now is it will switch on, boot up to front screen (the one with the picture of the bike cockpit with the rider holding the handlebars )then does nothing.frozen.
Then it wont switch off.had it on full charge no change.
i have tried the reset with a pin a few times ,it just does the same thing.

What sometimes works for me is a card swap and don't ask why it just works i.e. another SD card with the routes on it.

Also sometimes doing a reboot from the pc works.
