Tom Tom Rider V2 Western Europe £217.

Same in DABS

Just seen something similar in Dabs. The Western Europe version is showing way cheaper than the UK, but none in stock. Has anyone phoned to see if there's a sale about to start?

So called "Sales" often occur in many shops, as the shop has to get permission from the manufacturer before slashing the prices. I'd guess that Tomtom are about to do some sort of sales drive, but noone is advertising it as a "Sale" yet.

Could be wrong, I am a biochemist not a marketing manager.

Amazon did this recently and I ordered one at £219 all in. I got an email three days later saying they were cancelling my order as it was a mistake. I hope people are more successful with these shops.
 
Sadly just another ploy by the big companies to get you to part with your money whilst they await stock to come in...it is US that have to wait.
I'll keep searching for this price with others and then telephone an order in...www can suck when ordering our toys !!:(

I guess I was one of the lucky ones with the Amazon offer then - £219.99 for the TomTom Rider v2 Western Europe AND a car mount with speaker and power cable. All delivered in under 14 days. I know of a few others that had both teh good and bad side of the Amazon offer before the price rocketed again.

Another 2 lucky ones here. :augie Myself and a mate who rides a R1200ST both bought the same deal from Amazon. The goods arrived within 7 days.:D
Used on the bioke and in the car found it to be an excellent bit of kit so far.:clap

I was watching the V2 on Amazon and it only came down to the £219 price for about 4 hours. :confused: Then went back up? :confused:

Ordering tomtom

I put an order in for Rider V2 with www.mynewcheap.co.uk They told me they were in stock... huh bulls**t. when I phoned to ask where it was, they said all of their stock had been allocated and I would be sent one of the new ones... when they arrived, unfortunately these are still being tested be TomTom so it could be weeks.
Anyway managed to get one cheaper from www.pentagongps.co.uk It's supposed to arrive on monday by fedex. I 'ain't holding my breath. I'll keep you posted. :rob:jes
