tomtom rider 1 car kit

Hi I have noticed some for sale on ebay but they have a different suction mount on them than the oem ones, I think.

Did tomtom do two different types of mounts or has anyone used one of the ebay style ones and is happy with them?

Alternatively anyone know where a source of secondhand ones is?

Yes but look closely, one version of a suction base .. err .. lets say .. was lifted and bears another brand mark, which is not strictly accurate .. bit like the Rider 1 bike mount .. another tale in itself

buybits have the same kind of suction base as well

Buybits resells TT parts if you look closely compare RAP-B-166-1 or RAP-B-166-2 base with TT part the latter could be used as alternative, so fit TT cradle onto diamond diagonal hole with M3 x 15mm screws
