I have recently been 'donated' a TomTom Rider V1, the mapping of which works fine.
However, I cannot get the unit to recognise the TomTom bluetooth headset.
I obviously do not know if it is the unit or the headset which is the problem.
I did manage to get an 'O2' headset to work with it, but for some reason that doesn't want to play anymore. I have reset the unit and the factory settings, but to no avail.
Would there be any one out there with a TomTom Rider V1, and who lives somewhere within a reasonable distance of Stourport on Severn that I could meet up with and try my unit against theirs to check?
or any reasonable other suggestion short of binning it and getting a new one!
Thanks in anticipation................

Make sure that you have the latest update on the rider unit. They had problems with it pairing up on the bluetooth. I haven't really had a problem with mine though.

Some bluetooth headsets just wouldn't pair with it, or was a hit and miss with the pairing thing.

is your bluetooth adaptor in the correct pairing mode???

do you have instructions to check your doing it right.

check the bluetooth is on and try and update the tomtom to the latest software just in case there is a bug or corrupt data on the SD card.
