I just have and i thought the same as you, but gave it a punt. Turned up in 2 days, all the kit supplied, and although i have not taken it out on the road yet, all appears to be good. It is the V2, which is obviously not the latest and does not have 45 countries, but i considered how many times i was actually going to go to the balkans, i and i decided that the countries included would do the job. Given the saving over the latest......great stuff

The difference between the V2 and the latest version is lane guidance in the latest one.
maps can be bought if required, my V2 works fine.
