Hi
got a tt rider pro, trying to fit it to an F800GS.Tried wiring direct to the battery via inline fuse but it flattened the battery over a couple of days(the unit was actually removed,i'm guessing the mount draws current even when the unit is removed)
i have now decided to run it via the din accessory connector.Does any one now if the accessory plug is switched via the ignition .And does anyone where i can get a water resistant din plug (in the uk)to wire onto the tt power lead.

Hi,

There is a canbus socket on the 800gs, (on the right side (facing front) somewhere near the horn I think). Much easier to connect your satnav to that as it is operated by the ignition.

See here ,, http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117400

This is for the 1200 but its basically the same. Most dealers have the connector.

Good luck.

There is a spare auxiliary canbus socket next to the battery, under the dummy tank cover, This socket is switched by the ignition and you can buy a male plug wth flying leads, from your local Motorrad dealer for about £8:)
