Finally booked in to have my seat re-styled by Tony next week. I am sure he will offer very good advice on what to go for but....

Anyone out there got any pics of the shaping they chose and whether it worked or not? (i.e. no numb arse!!)

Any other advice appreciated,

Cheers

hiya.no pics but i had my seat done by tony a few weeks ago.he fitted a gel pad and slimmed out the seat sides.did a really good job and pretty cheap too.

He also has a small web site just go on most bike forums he will be mentioned
does loads of bmw's harleys and Honda Pans

do you think the gel pads help? I have heard mixed opinions? Is it any better than just foam?

Tailspin,
Let us know how you get on, especially where you got the pads from and how much it cost altogether. Most importantly, how it feels when you've got it back!

Tony did mine

Hi all, I have a 07 GS ADV........

Tony put me a gel pad in about 6 months ago, just done 2K in the Pico's and can back from Plymouth to Yorkshire in one hit (apart from Petrol stops) no probs at all.

But!.....best thing I ever did was to put the seat on high setting at the front and leave the rear setting on low. Stand back and have a look at your GS seats, low or high stettings they push you forward, High front, low back seems to flatten the seat out........it works fine for me plus the gel pad etc, Note* I am 6ft 5in.

Pic attached is seat High at the front, low at the rear settings........:rob

+1 :thumb2

Makes a huge difference to long distance comfort, the downside is that it slightly raises the seat height (Doh ... Obviously ...:blast) but is a good trade off in my book - Long ride discomfort is now only a memory :bounce1:bounce1:bounce1

Anyone had their seat lowered by Tony. My new GSA is a touch high for me but I found the seat quite comfy on a week's tour of Scotland. I'm wondering if he can lower it but keep it comfy.
I want to keep the original seat rather than go for an expensive replacement e.g. Sargent.
Cheers

Not on my GS, but on my old K12. Tony lowered my (bike) seat and changed the shape of the pillion to fit my wifes a*se. He did a great job - highly recommended :thumb2

Got my seat done yesterday by Tony. All I can say is Awesome job. It has been done in a corbin style and is massively more comfortable. I will try and post a pic asap.

Highly Recommended :thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb

Here's mine done by Tony about 18months ago.

Based on the expensive baglux and built up on the rear to make it more comfy for the passenger.

This is the fifth seat he has done for me.
