It’s been in the garage for a few weeks, finally plucked up the courage to have a go at fitting the film today.
Really pleased with the results. Now debating removing the tank pad and fitting film instead.

Hats of the TJD, great product, good instructions and even sorted out this numpty ordering the wrong product 👍🏻

I've had 2 bikes done by Tony at Cotswold Motorrad and can thoroughly recommend Tony and his work. He uses proper PPF rather than cheap alternatives and does a first class job. You won't be disappointed if he does your bike as he's a real perfectionist and a top bloke.

Which kit did you go for? I have this on my RT but just about to get a GS-A TB. Undecided if to go for the std or full tank kit.

Fully endorse the quality of the product and the service received from them

I went for the Tank Kit, £45. I only really wanted to protect the side of the tank but I may well fit the centre part as I’m not sure if I like the tank pad I have or not.

Where do you get these from Paul? Are the GSA tank sides really that susceptible to damage as it wasn't something I'd ever had considered?

If it helps one of the black matte tank side panels on my 2020 1250GS TE Exclusive marked up before the 600 mile service, which was changed under warranty by Cotswold. Tony then fitted his PPF to the side and centre panels on the tank for me at Cotswold (I'd booked him via Rob in the service dept) while he was doing a full job on a new RT. There were a couple of minor marks in the other panel too but Tony said that once he'd fitted the matt film I wouldn't be able to see them. He was correct of course. Bike still looked like new when I traded it in last December.

As a result of reading this a few weeks ago due to the BMW tank bag starting to scratch the paint and after a failed attempt with a set from wunderthingy web site I bought a full tank kit from TJD. Fantastic product, reasonably easy to fit great instructions and it you e mail them with a product question after ordering they called me within half hour of said e mail.
I also bought from Amazon a paint degreaser

Very pleased with the result. No point in a picture as it’s a clear film.
Also the give you some practice pieces which I used for elsewhere.
👍

Yep you can’t get better than Tony , he made me a bespoke kit for the changes I did to my 1300 . A real professional. He also fitted the standard full kit as well . Always used him on the last 4 bikes
