Too bright man...

I need help....

I've recently purchased a laptop...which is fab... and means I can torment you lot of an evening too...

However... I'm sitting here with shades on as the screen is toooooo bright...

I have the feeling its one of the Alt F combinations to bring a basic window up on the screen that allows you to change the shape, brightness and contrast of the display... but I can't for the life of me find it...

It would be useful if you posted the make/model so that some one with a similar machine could help..I have a Thinkpad and it uses the Fn key combined with "Home" for bright and "End" to dim.
