Picked up my new GS yesterday and am absolutely delighted with it.

I’m considering fitting a bigger screen, I’m sure a lot of you have already done this so would appreciate your views? Is the GSA screen a straight swap?

GSA screen with MRA X-Creen on top. Best screen combo money can buy.

I’ve put a Wnuderlich screen and screen support on mine, still cost less than an OEM tinted GSA screen and IMO looks better too! :thumb2

Great bike, just the same as mine - you will love it! I find the standard screen is perfect for me at 5' 6' with the low seat; good wind/weather protection and quiet, although I do find the distorted vision around the edges a pain when judging road position near kerbs and junctions.

Thank you all for your suggestions and good wishes.

Wileeeeeey/The Burpster do you guys have any pictures of your setup please?

Here's a few pics, apologies for the spam. I've also included my current summer screen which is a Puig as it's great for the commute, lots of air, but absolutely awful in the rain.

YES, the GSA screen is a direct fit on the GS.

To remove your screen and fit the GSA screen:
Put the screen in the high position.
Take a T25 Torx driver (I think its a T25...but my memory is poor)....
Remove the middle of the 3 small bolts found on the inside of the screen on each side.
Gently push the screen downwards towards the beak to remove the screen from the clips holding it.
Take care to hold the screen firmly at this point to prevent dropping it onto the beak.
Remove the 4 remaining bolts to release the fixing bars front and rear.
Take out the 4 x rubber bushes in the screen holes and fit these in the holes in the new screen.

To quote Haynes manuals: “ Fitting is the reverse of removal”.....
Now your done, pour yourself a beer!

ace bike.....I have just listed a Tinted OE bmw screen for sale in the for sale section ,its mint and at half price . will go straight onto your new Rallye

Basically looking for more weather protection during the winter months. Having owned a GSA before the screen worked well for me.

I put a GSA screen on my GS Rallye during the winter months and it does the job perfectly for me. Keeps the weather at bay during the commute. During summer I revert back to a standard Gs screen so that my helmet vents get enough wind to work.

Enjoy your new GS.

I'm 6ft 3in and have a Givi Highflow screen. On the top setting there is no buffeting and very reduced wind noise. I can go at motorway speeds with the visor up. My helmet is a C3 Pro. In hot weather I leave it at the lowest setting. I have found that Cymarc brackets are not required.
