Was boared and threw this together, 4inch internal and 15 long. scren end cap. will fit nice onto dakar where old exhaust used be.

must make few more and do a neater job. few lads have asked me make them for boats today after saw them for maps and chartw around 1m long

was thinking if there was enough interest in them i would make them up with brackets that go around it with clamp on top and let people fit it them selves.

i will happliy know one up if people want a set size as just means i cut it at different point

A 12inch long one would fit onto my GS very neatly.

Is there a way to make it locking?

well i will check up the cost parts when get home as receipt for them were in the car.

as for postage i will check that next week when on the late shift.

think it worked out as follows,

end cap 5euro
threaded cap 15 euro
piping was around 10 per 4ft

if ya want i will happily get bach of parts and make them up to your desired lenght.

ah yes locking. i am in a few minds regards how to do it.

forst, drill hole top and bottom and put a rod down in to it and small lock at the end.

2nd is to use SS cable secured to one end and then just loops around end cap and locks onto the otherside.

3rd is to have 2 clips, one on the end can the other on pipe and lock goes into both when its fully closed

prob looking at around 25-30 plus postage cost price

saw one of these befor but didnt know made them that size. its nice one though and cheaper and prob much better option than mine


anyway bit time in garage today and got it mounted, want get heavier straps as they may not hold up after fall
