Hi all,
Considering taking the pillion seat off my 1100GS. Is the toolkit cover secure enough or should I look to get some kind of a cover. If a cover is a good idea any suggestions? Anyone on here make them?
Cheers
Mark

Do you know that the cover is lockable ? the add on latch in in the tool kit.

It'd be no good for me - only my pillion seat latches - the riders seat is free to fall off without it :D

But even if it did latch, I think I'd invest in a more solid toolkit cover than the oem plastic thing...

Now I feel silly. Thanks for pointing that out, I check the toolkit in the morning.:thumb2

Thanks also for the links to the covers. Very quick response. I thank you :beerjug:

with the 1200's, they had the right idea.
No toolkit :blast :D

Metal plate bought from Der fatherland 5 years ago - or so. uses the original lock and rests with rubber feet on the outer frame with hooks in the 'slots' that run down the side.

Do you have a link for where to buy that plate please?

Always liked the Zweckdesign version but they're also a bit pricey...

Superb, i've got one on my 1150. But if you have a corbin seat you'll need to cut a bit off the front of the cover to make it fit.

I just bent the front edge up a little in a vice with mine:thumb
