Went to adjust the chain on swmbo GS650, and found the toolkit contained feck all to do it with, new bike bought in july

RED RAG BULL TIME,

Feck em, I knew toolkit in mine (GSA) was shite, salesman went deaf whenever I mentioned it at time of buying bike...

Phoned B*W customer service........spoke to Andrew.....no problem sir.....make a warrenty claim through your supplying dealer for full kit .... :thumb

Supplying dealer say,s no point as most of the tools wont fit, allan bolts changed to torque heads etc, B*W did,nt change kit to suit as they wer,nt going to supply it on new bike,s...
Should,nt need to adjust chain away from home anyway :eek even on a 3 thousand mile run round europe.
Dont need to check wheel nuts/pinch bolts etc on GSA

So question is do any of you fellow tosser know if the full kit(s) for a 05 GSA and a 04 GS650 would fit the various bolts, nuts etc

TIA. :bow

the black thing undoes the oil filler cap. i could see no use for the incredibly crappy little screwdriver or the 17mm spanner.

pic does not really show the most useful item too well, the little card with bmw assist no's on it :P

The screwdrivers for cleaning your nails while you wait for BMW assist to arrive (it's still a 1200 underneath) and the 17mm spanner is just for holding while you stand on the hard shoulder to make the 1150 riders who are passing think you are really adjusting something :D

05 F650 GS TOOLKIT-

1 screwdriver, reversible blade
1 cross-head screwdriver, small
4 open ended spanners 8x10mm, 14x19mm, 15mm, and 24mm
1 sparkplug wrench
1 Allen key 8mm
4 Torx keys T25, T30, T40, T45
4 fuses 4A, 7.5A, 10A, 15A
1 puller for fuses

But as always with OEM toolkits the quality is crap and you would be better buying the tools you need separately.
