Tooltube lock? advice please

Has anyone fitted some type of locking device on their tooltube?
I would appreciate few tips- how to's

The only idea I have at the mo is a threaded rod straight through with nylock nut and washers each end- not exactly a lock but would slow down a sticky fingers!
