Top box access

I need to unlock my BMW top box. I have no key. It came with the bike but the key is lost. I'd rather not break into it. Would BMW or a locksmith have something I could use. Cheers In advance.

Try another key !

Two of my later bikes, both keys fit either panniers but not the ignition switches of the other bike, coincidence ! The bikes are 4 years apart age wise.

Is there a number on the lock face? If there is it is highly likely to be the key number

Yeah i've had that in the past with panniers but the key to the topbox looks to be smaller than the ign key.

I had some spare keys made for a Honda a few years back, they only wanted the lock number and the keys arrived in the post a few days later (scary). I'll see if I can find the paperwork, and let you know who it was.
