Top box liner/bag

A while ago there was a thread about cheapy means of obtaining a liner for top box's. I think it revolved around re-usable carrier bags from the likes of M&S, but I may be wrong in the detail...........can anyone assist with the link?

My bike is a 1150GSA and I dont want to shell out on the BM or other 'made-for-purpose" liners, but occasional use of a cheapy alternative would be handy

Might be easier (though cost a bit more) to measure the internal dimensions of the box and take those and a tape measure to either a 'sports shop' or down the market and look for a 'holdall' that will fit. added bonus being you'll get something a bit more secure than a shopping bag - with a lot more flexibility.

I was the first to have a set of these made and they have proven to be up to the job, however they are not waterpoof, but your panniers are, they leak through the stitching.

Worth a look at £50, that was last year may be more now

Personnally, I use a tail pack in my standard BM plastic top box. Fits in nicely with gaps down the inside edges of the box where you can put bottles, shoes, etc. Bag I use is an Oxford 1 bag. Also, if you keep straps/cargo net with it you can starp it to the rear seat should you need space in the top box.

+1 for the small holdall / sports bag idea. We've got them to fit each box. Doesn't half make life easier when you stop for the night. The bike is unloaded in no time so you get to spend more time in the bar.
