Is it possible to have a quick release adapter plate for a top box, or a top box with no adapter plate?

I've been keeping my 1200 GS in a friends garage 20 minutes drive away as my immediate surroundings are not conducive to leaving a bike outside in the road. Result: I've not been using the bike because of the extra 45 minutes return journey.

I can "just" squeeze the bike into a brick built shed if there is no adapter sticking out at the back.

BUT, my partner feels more secure with a top box behind her, and we do long journeys where the extra luggage capability helps, specially as you can leave things in it locked up on the bike.

Any suggestions?

the latest Givi set up replaces the OEM grab rail and sit's a little lower, so may be ok for your purpose.
