I have a vario top box which is not quite big enough for a helmet is there a BMW top box that will fit the adaptor plate that will?

Daft question but have you tried lying the helmet on it’s side?

My helmet fits in this way but not stood up

My Caberg helmet doesn't fit either. Whats the use of a top box that can't accommodate one let alone two helmets?

I have invested in a locking cable thingy and leave the helmets secured to the bike. (Givi S220 retractable)
However I would prefer £700 worth of helmets to be out of sight.

When I bought my R1200GS nearly 2 months ago, the first thing that really disappointed me was the size of the top box. My XL sized AGV K5 helmet will not fit in any way, expanded or not. It only fits on the right pannier, when expanded. I wanted to ride daily without the panniers but...
